Malcolm Price and I attended a very worthwhile affordable housing seminar in Brisbane last week. It was great to see that is being planned on Lot 22 is not at all weird or controversial. This type of “build-to-rent” affordable housing development is a growth housing segment and many other government agencies, NFPs, and private developers are way ahead of us with this. Byron council has the opportunity to partner with a very experienced and credible organisation called the National Affordable Housing Consortium to make this happen.
